Ingredients

Method

  1. Peel, core, and chop all apples into rough pieces.

  2. Pour water into the Instant Pot and add lemon juice and cinnamon. Stir to combine, then add apples and toss to coat.

  3. Lock the lid and cook on high pressure for 8 minutes.

  4. Perform a controlled quick release or let pressure release naturally.

  5. Mash the cooked apples with a potato masher to your desired texture, or pulse in a blender for a smoother consistency.

  6. Transfer to a bowl and cool completely. Taste and stir in additional cinnamon if desired.

  7. Serve warm or cold. Refrigerate up to 7–10 days.

Notes

For chunky applesauce, mash lightly; for smooth, use a blender.

Lemon juice prevents browning and brightens the flavor.
