Quick fixes in the kitchen.
If the app looks out of date, close and reopen it, then accept the update prompt. If offline recipes are unavailable, reconnect once and leave the cookbook open until it has loaded.
Microphone problems: open iPad Settings, find Safari or Potbelly, and allow microphone access. The AI assistant also requires an internet connection and available daily quota.
